Mass Communications Magnet

The rapid pace of modern society and increased global communication are contributing to an expanding market for mass communications products and services. The Mass Communication Magnet Program, part of the Communication, Performing and Visual Arts Academy at Randallstown High School will provide students a strong foundation for advanced studies and careers in these fields. Students receive instruction in public speaking and journalism as well as communication technologies including television broadcasting, video production, photography, desktop publishing and graphic design. Teamwork is developed as students work together to create a variety of products including daily news broadcasts, promotional videos, school newspapers, magazines, and yearbooks. Students will also have the opportunity to apply both the interpersonal and technical skills developed in high school while participating in a senior internship.
